i cant imagine spending that much money and not getting an i7 but thats just me

Neither do I, but for his price range the 290x really stomps the 970.

It'd be nice if he told me what he has. An OS disk would really help.

buy yourself an ATX case.  the company i work for is a dell reseller and i can testify that the cases are weird.

have you tried to find out what form factor the case fits for starters?
 
So i got a new tower but I had to change my cooler so now its
a Zalman CNPS9500 AT Ball Bearing CPU Cooler and a Azza Solano 1000R ATX Full Tower Case

i could do that but i dont want windows 8. it looks really good though
 
if you have a windows 7 product key just download the iso (disk image) from the web, burn to disk, and then when you install do windows 7 lol...
