It all started on a day quite similar to today. The birds were chirping, the clouds were rolling and not a sound was to be heard except my iTunes. Suddenly, I get a message from my best friend on steam. "Bro! My parents are putting all of these blocks on my computer, I can't do shit anymore!"

"OH DAEM BRO! that sucks, so all the good sites are blocked?"

"yeah it fucking sucks!"

Laughing quietly to myself, I move on and continue with my day thinking nothing of it. I go to sleep in blissful merriment.

I awake late on a Sunday morning to find my phone with one unread text, I unlock my phone and see the first words... "holy shit".

"holy shit. So last night i was testing out sites that worked. this morning my dad walks in with a piece of paper that shows every single porn site that I tried to go to. Apparently he has a thing that logs every site i go to!"

"HAHAHAHAHA" I said, thinking of his misfortune. "Well I could get on later and give you a couple videos if you want."

"do it!"

So later on, I get on steam and send the links like I promised I would. We talk for a good while about how his dad is a douche and what went on. He's happy for the videos, and I'm happy for doin him a solid.

later I get another text, i unlock my phone. first words, "dude you're fucked"

"dude you're fucked, my dad somehow had a recorder installed on my computer. he watched our whole conversation. he was freaking out asking "WHO IS FISHY! WHO IS FISHY! TELL ME RIGHT NOW! wait a minute... that's Chris isn't it? TELL HIM TO STOP SENDING YOU THIS SHIT!"

Now I'm thinking to myself "okay im fucked..."

I reply, "Is he gonna rat me out?"

"He said maybe"

"god damnit" So I get on with my day, I kinda had always been prepared for this day, so if it happens I'll just handle it casually. but after one night, I get off the hook. his dad hasnt told... yet.

The next day I talk to him about what happened and he gave me the details on whats been goin on. I'm kinda nervous, but I go home. when I walk in from the garage, I see my mom sitting on the couch. she says "hey, we need to talk..."

Fuck...

So I'm like "aight" and I sit down and her, my dad and I both start and long awkward conversation about porn and the pros and cons. luckily my dad was on my side. But long story short, she is blocking a lot of my internet and limiting my time on the computer. Also taking my admin away on my comp. (yeah I know I can change the password in cmd, and I am tempted to if she pisses me off).

So now i come home to a locked computer and she makes me make my own user account and just leaves... doesn't set parental blocks or anything, but we'll see.

And the irony of this whole this story is I still have porn on my hard drive (lol).

According to Fox News, the stepfather said that he pulled out the handgun when he thought he heard a prowler outside. He said that instead of putting the gun away, he left the weapon on the living room end table--apparently with the safety still turned off.

Wilson County Sheriff Terry Ashe said that the mother was in the same room when the girl picked up her stepfather's .380 caliber pistol and unloaded the ammo into her abdomen. The mother told investigators that her 3-year-old daughter may have thought that the weapon was a controller for the Nintendo Wii console.

"The child had been playing a Nintendo Wii video game, Ashe said," reports The Tennessean. "The game’s controller was shaped like a gun that looked very similar to the real handgun, which her stepfather had put on a table in the living room."

After discharging the gun, the girl was rushed to the University Medical Center in Lebanon where she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Currently no charges have been filed against the parents, but there's a good chance that will change within the next few days.

The whole issue of the girl confusing the gun with a Wii controller should be thrown out the window. Little children are curious, and will even dig through the contents of a trashcan in search of hidden treasures. It's in their nature. Leaving an armed weapon within the child's reach is pure negligence no matter what the resident Wii controller looks like. Games aren't the blame here: bad parenting is.

Although, why the girl was pointing what she thought was a gun-controller at her abdomen in the shooting direction to begin with, is a mystery.
