Quote:The rumours would appear to be true. Borderlands dev Gearbox IS working on Duke Nukem Forever - and the reborn game is set to be unveiled at Seattle event PAX today.

US dev sources have indicated to CVG that the game will get a "grand demo" at the show - and will be built upon what 3D Realms has already created, rather than a completely fresh project. We're hopeful it will be playable.

Shocked? Of course you're not. It's hardly as if this is the best kept secret in games.

Publisher 2K last night said that "something big is going to happen at the 2K Games Booth this PAX".

The tease follows last month's rumours that Gearbox had taken over development of DNF. Boss Randy Pitchford reportedly intimated that something may be coming at PAX.

2K's PAX conference will be available via live stream at 6pm UK time through the link below.

Duke Nukem Forever has suffered a famously patchy history. Original developer 3D Realms shut down last year, after working on the game. for over a decade

Check out the latest gameplay video to emerge below. Bear in mind it's unofficial footage - allegedly taken from an ex-3D Realms employee's online portfolio.

Looks a bit ancient. We're very keen to see what Gearbox has done with the old girl.

It took place very early the morning at like 01:30 GMT, the server was 206.217.129.21:27015

Why do you think you were banned?
I think i was banned because players thought i was hacking.

Why do you think you should you be unbanned?
i think i should be unbanned because i dont have a hack, i wouldnt know where to find one or even make one. I have over 700 hours of sniping and it links to the ambassador (which i was using during i was playing on the server) with the headshots.

Is there anything else you would like to say?
I really want to get unbanned on this server because it is the surf server with quite low ping and one that doesnt really lag that much tbh.

I tried to update my bios, thinking i had an old version and it maybe just wasn't an available option, but the shitty update utility gives me an error when I try to flash..

Any ideas?
I don't know where/how to check what bios I have, but my motherboard is an ECS a780gm-a v1 with whatever bios it comes with by default. I looked in the manual but didn't find anything for checking that voltage, all i saw were memory/cpu voltage settings.

I have been a semi Linux-noob for several years, just keeping my distro updated, using it for repairs, and the occasional period where I'd try to do something drastic (although probably simple to the more experienced) for no real reason at all. But then one day I suddenly decided to run the whole mile and install Arch Linux. Part because I heard so much praise for it, and part because I really wanted to get used to Linux in depth.

So I went ahead to download the net install image, and print out 15 or so pages from their Wiki. I created a user, installed xorg, the open source ATi drivers, and gnome+gdm, everything went well. Somewhere along the line I decided that it was best to install ATi's Catalyst drivers from AUR. So I installed Yaourt.

From there I ended up having to disable the xorg-server package dependencies in the pkgbuild, due to me having a newer version than support. This is where I screwed up. The next bootup, I ended up with a blank screen after GDM's daemon loaded (obviously it wasn't rendering anything correctly). I put in my partedmagic disk and messed with rc.conf to disable the GDM daemon, so I could access the basic UI. I disabled the testing repository in pacman.conf, and tried a "pacman -Syu". Then I "-Rd"d the "newer than extra" packages.

So I'm having two problems: xf86-video-vesa won't uninstall, and xorg-server (the extras version, not testing) will not install. When I uninstall xf86-video-vesa, it never actually uninstalls it. And when I try to reinstall xorg-server, my screen is spammed with "XXXXXXX.h already exists in filesystem".

X also "gives up" trying to start after about 20 seconds proceeding the "startx"

I really do not want to reinstall after all that effort (and downloading - my internet is slow as hell). Could someone who knows a bit help me out, please?
