Definitely is NOT safe at all. The feeling is absolutely amazing though. The steep slides at waterparks around the nation do not compare to this in the slightest. You can actually feel yourself falling faster and faster. The total hang time is around 3 seconds and you have no control. It really is truly amazing and worth every moment of pain I'm feeling now.

Oh God lol I know. In concept pencil dives are simple, I've done them from the 10meter/33 foot dive all the time. This is about 3 times that. The acceleration gets so ridiculous and I just wasn't prepared for it. At first when I was falling I felt as though I was leaning too far forward, then I started tilting back and couldn't readjust. Better my hammies and ass than a broken rib and punctured lung.

I went cliffjumping yesterday! That's actually really funny that you did too. I went to a place called Big Tit, it's about 55 feet and also highly illegal. So fucking addictive, I love the adrenaline rush.

Close to STL we have legal places to do it! 60-80 feet up its hella fun we do flips and all kinds of shit into the water. I have some videos of us doing it from 30 and 40 feet up with my go pro about a month ago.
