Dollhouse was such garbage.

Unfortunately America's televisual market relies primarily on advertisement revenue rather than artistic quality, which results in the unfortunate state of bullshit reality shows and endless dramatic cliches clogging the arteries of prime time television.

The resulting dilemma basically summarizes to any show being put on-air during prime time block hours receiving excessive amounts of advertising revenue in comparison to early day and light night cycle programming which receives a fraction. The situation becomes circular when networks restrict their prime time time slots to already established productions in order to ensure secure income. This results in the phenomena we are all familiar with: American TV shows are too fucking similar, and tend to motherfucking suck.

Because it's easier to stuff puns and one liners with a laugh track into 20 minutes rather than actually putting thought into a unique episode.

Normally I'd say "zoL wtf!" but LOST hasn't been all that great the past few seasons. S1 was phenomenal then it just went downhill, slowly but gathering speed since season 3. Still love it, but it's just turned into how many WTF's and mindblowers can they cram into one episode now. Plus I haven't seen Breaking Bad yet. I've been downloading stuff like crazy lately so I'll put it on my list.
