Sorry, I've been so busy with work and other stuff that I missed a week of ZP. Anyway, here's this weeks as well as last weeks so everyone can catch up.
So a Dutch magazine has leaked some tasty nuggets (yeah thats right, I said nuggets) of information regarding some details from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2. This is translated from the Dutch website so please excuse any rubbish grammar or word order, thanks.
Quote:- The physics of the bullets and grenades have become a lot more realistic. Bullets ricochet now and grenades rolling off a staircase or slope downwards do so as they would in real life.
- You can now use a gun in one hand and a knife in your other hand.
- We will be a heavily armed Navy Seal diver to carry out some missions.
- There is a level with the name 'International Cyber Space.' Are we aboard, or it is an abandoned Russian rocket?
- There will be bullet-time moments in the game. No, not like in FEAR 2, but it appears only on the moments of major developments and is more like a dramatic moment when, for example, an explosion which you quickly can take down a few men.
- There will be some new multiplayer modes. More about that will be published after E3. Also, the menu from which you multiplayer session start is adapted. This is because there are too many things added that Infinity Ward want to drop.
- There are a number of new Perks that the community will be totally surprised about. This includes a shield perk where computer controlled soldiers follow you with a shield.
- MW2 will have more guns, but the developer gave no names. Some original weapons will disappear however. Because you are part of Task Force 121, you have the decision on the most advanced weaponry. For example, a weapon in a snow level a 'heart beat sensor' that senses your enemies which are tens of meters away walking. Also, the old weapons have been made much more detailed. For example, dirty top-mounted scopes and a red dot that disappears when you're not targeting.
- There will be more to destroy in MW2. You can pump a fire using fuel pumps, destroying enemies in a blaze of flame. Furthermore, crates and boxes may be destroyed, which then cause fragments to fall thereafter, controlled by gravity and wind.
Had to do quite a bit of editing to get this legible but I think I've got it pretty much sorted. Some of this news sounds pretty awesome, lets hope it is well coded and the game fulfills its potential.
I'll be posting a roundup of major E3 events in the next couple of days.
