Hello, welcome to the experimental thread. This won't take more than a few minutes of your time if you could have a seat over there please. Now I'm going to ask you a question, what is your favorite experiment ever conducted?

I would have to say that mine is Milgram Experiment. Stanley Milgram used the experiment to test the willingness of people to obey an authority figure. He would start the experiment by designating one of the subjects as the teacher and one the learner. The teacher was to inflict an electric shock on the learner whenever he answered a question incorrectly.
The learner was actually an actor who set up a tape recorder which would play different screams for the various rising shocks. The learner would also bang on the wall and complain about having a heart condition, and that these shocks could kill him.
If the teacher would ever stop the experimenter would give these verbal commands:
Please continue.
The experiment requires that you continue.
It is absolutely essential that you continue.
You have no other choice, you must go on.
If he did not after all four where given in that order the experiment was stopped. If not the teacher would continue to give the final shock of 450 volts three times.
65 percent (26 of 40) of experiment participants administered the experiment's final 450-volt shock; at some point, every participant paused and questioned the experiment, some said they would refund the money they were paid for participating in the experiment. Only one participant steadfastly refused to administer shocks before the 300-volt level.

Also how did you feel when I tricked you into reading this thread by making you think it was an experiment?
