Basically. It's all bandits now. There is no teamwork, alliances, or trading. Game is pretty much dead unless there is another update.
Well, I think its a fun game but very challenging for newer players due to you only start with a backpack,one bandage,one painkiller, and a flashlight. This means that you don't start with any means of self-defense against zombies, or the most dangerous threats, other players. There is melee, but you must have a melee weapon, like a hatchet or a crowbar. In previous patches, you had a means of self-defense against zombies because you started with a pistol.
Idk, I enjoy the game because I like having a hardcore zombie survival game but the fact that you don't start with any kind of defense really sucks and the fact that other players are more dangerous than the actual zombies is dumb since it really is every man for themselves unless you team up with people, but even then they can easily backstab you whenever
I swear this thread has been made two times before you. Never the less I think the mod I nice. I hear its going to be a full game though so if that is true I won't be buying Arma II and just wait for it. (unless it takes for fucking ever) To be honest I've never heard of Arma II and I still don't even know what it is. I swear though if you saw me in DayZ you'd probly wanna run or shoot

Would anyone like to help me get started? I'm starting to feel like the $30 was a waste. I've been wandering around for over 2 hours without any luck. I can't open some doors. and I constantly die to zombies. :(

korban you dunce I already told you, go into big cities sneak around, and if zombies end up chasing you press abort d/c and rejoin and zombies will go away, simple as that.
I've been playing DayZ a lot lately. There is usually 5-8 of us wandering around in a group.
Got myself a lovely M107, few of the other guys have/had DMR, FN FAL ANPV S4 and BAF AS50 to name a few. So far the vehicles we've had; 2 cars, a bus, 3 boats and a motorcycle.. sadly all have been lost. Stocked to shit with medical supplies too.
4 of us were killed today though, managed to recover the important weapons. We started to get a little bit too cocky and went hunting a few players we saw bombing it across the hill (All died, they just managed to kill off 4 of us first...).
All in all pretty good, at first I wouldn't get it because I thought it'd be boring and not very fun but you'd be surprised how easy you can sink a good 8+ hours into it.

Running up/down a hill also works, they get bored straight away and turn around.
Yeah game is nice i enjoy it myself. It was more fun imo when you started with a gun but people spawning right behind you and killing you sorta sucks. Still the game is a challenge and its fun if your into a more of a real life style game as in you hunt for what you need to live and eat and drink to also stay alive and fight for survival. Overall i would say the game is really nice but would be way better if the mob was from a different FPS over arma because arma does sorta suck ( sorry if any of you like it ).
