intox Gaming Dodgeball Tournament!

May 20th: Deadline for Registration!
May 26th - 3PM Eastern / 12PM Pacific: Tournament!

Format:
• There will be 4 rounds: the first stage, second stage, semi-final, and final & third place game.
• Each stage will be played on a different map, meaning the following 4 maps will be used:
First Round: Float
Quarter-Final: PingPong
Semi-Final: Bridge
Final & 3rd Place Game: DesertMadness

• There will be 5 rounds played on each map, first team to 3 wins advances.
• Admins will then use a bracket generator to create the match-ups for the knockout rounds.

Rules:
• Each player will be given one warning when breaking a rule. Upon a second infraction you will personally be kicked from the match and the rest of the tournament.
• Airblasting will be allowed - the same as server rules. There will be no limit on it.
• Respect other players! Show good sportsmanship during and after the matches, and above all, have fun!

Prizes:
1st:
Donator Perks on all TF2 servers for 2 months!
1x key each, 1x name tag each, 2x dueling games each, and 3x refined metal each!
2nd:
Donator Perks on all TF2 servers for 2 months!
3rd:
Donator Perks on all TF2 servers for 1 month!

Important Info:
• Team leaders are responsible for getting their team into the game before your round starts. All team members must be in game before the round starts, preferably 5 to 10 minutes early. The team leader must have a Ventrilo account. It is up to you to make sure this is done. Whoever is there at the start of the round will make up your team. Late members can join in on the upcoming round.
• The team leader must be a member of the intox Dodgeball group. This is to ensure we can contact you and that you are there on time for your matches.
• An admin will be present during each match. If you break any rules, you will be dealt with accordingly.
• Mics will be allowed during tournament play, but all-talk will be off. Use this as a chance to strategize with your teammates.
• The first matches will be chosen randomly based on your team’s number.
• Beep will be enabled for all rounds except semi-final and final rounds.
• If there’s an odd number of teams, the team that is not within a bracket will play against a randomly chosen losing team from the first round.

It's still a tournament. There should still be some degree of challenge for players that make it far enough.

That's why it's off for the semi-final and final. It separates the good teams from the bad. If a team cannot adapt to such a change then they don't deserve to win.

Well, is there a way we can get some no-beep gameplay before the tournament? Maybe two full days (randomly chosen) between now and then?

Haha, wouldn't be quite the same. :P

I suggest two full days on the actual server so everyone has a chance to play without beeps. Probably 1 week day and one weekend day from 0000-2359 EST would give everyone at least some practice without beeps.
